Obituary

Zakiyyah Haddad, 101, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, passed on May 18th, 2026. She was born in Syria, to parents Youssef and Nazeha (Obeid) Mamary, and was the wife of the late Charles Haddad.

Zakiyyah always took care of her family, she spent her time cooking, asking after relatives to see how they were and if they needed any help, and was always ready with a “don’t worry” as an answer to any problem. She also enjoyed taking time outside to grow veggies in her garden and take walks. Zakiyyah enjoyed her game shows, soap operas, and music as well.

In addition to her parents, Zakiyyah is predeceased by her husband, Charles Haddad; brothers, Aziz Mamari, Chafik Mamari, and Ibrahem Mamara; and sister Rahmi Mamari.

Zakiyyah is survived by her son Joseph Haddad; granddaughter Heather Haddad; and great-granddaughters Taylor and Nilah.

Services for Zakiyyah will be held Tuesday, May 26th, 2026 at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 1011 Catasauqua Ave, Allentown, PA 18102. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., followed immediately by the funeral mass at 11 a.m. Internment to follow at Laurel Cemetery 100 Kimmett Ave, Whitehall, PA 18102.
