William R. Schafer

William R. Schafer, 66, of Allentown passed away Sept. 3, 2013 at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born on Feb. 4, 1947 in Allentown, he was the son of the late Leroy and Dorothy (McGinley) Schafer. William was the loving husband of Bernadette (Follweiler) Schafer for 44 years. He was employed by Ingersoll Rand and Schiller Pfeiffer. William served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing, and music. He played softball in the East Penn and Industrial Leagues. He bowled at the Young Men's Club and East Allentown Fire Co.

Survivors: Wife; Daughters, Jennifer, wife of David Stoudt, Heather Schafer, and Adrienne, wife of Frank LeCause; Grandchildren, Madyson and Madden LeCause and Seth and Cy Stoudt; Great Grandson, Drew Stoudt; Sisters, Mary Eckhart, Corinne Karshnack, Betty Shupp, Barbara and Kelly Schafer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
