IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William R.
Lang
June 12, 1922 – May 26, 2021
William "Bill" R. Lang went to meet his heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at his daughter's home in Emmaus. Born in Allentown, June 12, 1922, he was in his 98th year. He shared a beautiful life with his late wife, Dorothy, of 50 years, before her passing in 2001.
He was employed at Richard's Sportswear and later at American Drycleaners as a presser, a job he took great pride in. His claim to fame was being asked to press a suit for rock icon Robert Palmer when he performed at the Allentown Fairgrounds. We all thought it was so cool when we saw him onstage in that suit! He was also a concessionaire for H&M concessions, working at Birney Crum Stadium and the Allentown Fairgrounds for over 50 years.
Billy had a passion for most sports, (especially horse racing) and Sinatra. He was an animal lover who routinely spoiled the family pets. He will be remembered as a caring, honest, and humble man with a heart of gold. He was always in good spirits and could always put a smile on your face. He had a keen empathy for people and an extraordinary ability to listen and communicate with people from all walks of life. He loved to tell stories of the good old days and memories made throughout the years. Never too busy to listen and share advice, he always seemed to have the answers to life's problems. We take consolation in the good feelings of our memories. Rest in Peace in the arms of the Lord.
