Obituary

Surrounded by his family as he prepared to go to his heavenly home, beloved great- and grandfather, Webster P. Lingle, Jr., joined his predeceased wife, Loretta and daughter, Debbie on November 4, 2024. Born to Camille and Webster Lingle, Sr. of Pennsauken, NJ on July 29, 1935, he would soon be on the move and go on to touch the lives of everyone he met. Whether it was through his work in sales, his commitment to local politics, or his time spent as the manager at his local golf club, his ability to connect with people was easy and joyous. Though proud to serve in the Navy, he wasn't one to divulge about his time in service and much to the dismay of his granddaughter, wouldn't give her the secret handshake to gain entry into the Masonic lodge. He would later reconnect with the love of his life, Loretta and they would share a beautiful, busy, and adventurous life for nearly 30 years in Daytona, FL. Their love and devotion to each other and generosity to their community was felt everywhere and at all times.

Determined to put a smile on everyone's face, he cracked jokes relentlessly. The way he laughed with his shoulders as he knew he just landed on comedy gold was infectious and will be remembered warmly by granddaughter, Karla and her fiancé, Gus. Stepdaughter, Vicki, and son-in-law, Bill fondly remember their Christmas visits and laughing all the way through the annual Christmas lights tour at the cheesy motel that had them plastered all over.

When he decided to move north to be closer to grandson, Jason, his wife, Jenn, and their growing family, he, Jason, and friend, Mike drove his camper from Daytona to Pennsylvania. He had such a blast with them and those memories will stay with Jason for a lifetime. He would become known as Pop to his great grandchildren, Jase and Charlotte, who gave him so much joy when they greeted him in the morning boisterously shouting, "Hi Pop!!" with great enthusiasm as toddlers do.

His family will miss him sharing pictures of the blue jays and finches he loved watching out of his window with his cat, Abby and stories of his and Loretta's travels. The sound of harmonicas will always transport the family to sitting on the porch with him as he played while Loretta hummed along.

He was kind and caring. A wonderful life well lived. He leaves behind a loving family that will miss him and his love dearly.

While the celebration of his life will be private, he wouldn't be mad if you found a worthy cause to donate your time to in remembrance of him.
