Virginia I. "Ginni" Merkel, of Allentown, died Monday December 7, 2020.  Virginia was the daughter of Daniel J. Merkel & Mary Jacobs Merkel, both deceased.  She was one of ten children and is survived by sisters, Mae Cox of Allentown, Nadine Pursell of Upper Black Eddy, and Dolores Merkel of Allentown and also by brothers Robert Merkel of Arizona and Edwin Merkel of Pottstown.  Deceased siblings include Marilyn Rabenold, Isaac George, James George, and Thomas George.  She was aunt to 19 nieces and nephews.  Virginia was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church in Cetronia.   A brief graveside service will be held At Cedar Hill Cemetery Tuesday December 29 at  11:00 AM.

Virginia worked as a nurse's aide at Sacred Heart Hospital from her high school graduation until her retirement.  She served many years on the church choir and was active in other church activities.  She enjoyed crafts, puzzle making & games.  Virginia will be remembered as a generous and caring woman who loved her family dearly.
