Vilma J. Szep, 95, of Allentown died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 in Sacred Heart Hospital. She was the wife of George T. Szep for 61 years before his death on April 4, 1998. Born in Stiles, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Holzer) Fassman. Vilma was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church of Allentown. Survivors: Daughter, Jean E. wife of John J. Valent of Slatington; son, George M. and wife Judith of Allentown; sisters, Margaret Stoisits of Northampton, Frieda Braun of Allentown, and Anna Zimitz of Nazareth; three grandchildren, Karen Smith, John Valent, and Kimberlee Szep; three great-grandchildren, Amanda Valent, Ellen Marie Smith and Natalie Smith.
