Thomas Curwood Schuler, 82, of Pahrump, NV. passed away peacefully on June 7, 2024, in Las Vegas, NV after complications from a long battle with Diabetes. He is originally from Allentown, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer Erwin Schuler and Ruth Schuler, sister Nancy Schuler, 2 Uncles; Curwood Schuler, Thomas Schuler, and Aunt Evelyn Reichard.
Tom attended the Scotland School for Veteran's Children in Scotland, PA. After High School he enlisted in the Army as an Army Medic, attended Tri-State University (Trine) and Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). (Dr) Tom also achieved his PHD in Biochemistry. He worked over 40 years in the health care field working for Armour Pharmaceutical Company, Michael Reese Research Foundation, Sherwood Medical, and Bio-Con Labs. He became self-employed creating his software company E-Healthcare Systems Inc. for the Hospital & Health Care industry.
Tom had a huge passion for Golf and all sports. He played Basketball, Football, and Baseball in College. He loved animals, avid coin and stamp collector, and spent time on the computer creating short books. Tom had a challenging childhood and was adopted out to the Titlow Family. While he had many obstacles to overcome as a younger child, he didn't let this affect him. Throughout life he maintained positivity, kindness to all, and always loved to be a jokester.
Tom is survived by his two daughters, Faustina Schuler Saltzgiver, and Selina Schuler Surface, four grandchildren; Wade Surface, Jade Surface, Miranda Saltzgiver, and Marisa Saltzgiver, sister Ruth Schuler Brooks (Michael), sister Christine Schuler, Brother Christopher Schuler (Charlene), Numerous Cousins: Gary Schuler, Holly Vanover, Eve-Lynn Lespier, Alan Schuler, Karen Dries, Mary Schuler Monroe, 7 Nieces and 4 Nephew, and 17 grand nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Monday, June 24th, 2024, from 12:00 noon-2:00 pm at Weber Funeral Home, 502 Ridge Ave, Allentown, PA. 18102. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park (w/Military Honors), 1700 Airport Rd., Allentown, PA. 18109.
