Thomas, 69, of Coopersburg passed away on July 16, 2016. He was born in Allentown on June 29, 1947 to Adele (Wintersteen) Knauss and the late Alvin Knauss. He spent 30 years of marriage as the loving husband of Loretta (Hunsberger) Knauss. Tom served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, and would go on to work for R.R. Donnelly (formerly Moore Business Forms) for 45 years until retirement. He was part of the Coopersburg Ambulance Corp for 17 years as a medical technician and driver, part of the Coopersburg Fire Co. for 27 years as a fire fighter, fire police, and photographer, and volunteered at the Quakertown Hospital emergency room for many years. He was also a CPR and first aid instructor for the Red Cross for many years, and a member of the Coopersburg Fire Co. Social Club, and the Quakertown American Legion.
Survivors: Wife Loretta "Ruthie" Knauss; mother Adele Knauss; sister Linda Krasley and husband Kenneth; brother William Knauss and wife Ferne; niece Kimberly Sidor; nephew Brian Knauss and wife Eunkyoung; mother-in-law Dorothy Hunsberger; sisters-in-law Barbara Zwickl and husband Bill, and Deanna Kubat and husband Gary; brother-in-law Leroy Hunsberger and wife Linda; and many other loving family and friends.
Services: A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 21 from 9-11am, followed by an 11am service, both at Norcross-Weber Funeral Home, 101B N. Main St., Coopersburg. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, Coopersburg, to follow. www.WEBERFUNERALHOMES.com
