Obituary

To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven; a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.  (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2)

Steven Clyburn of Bethlehem, PA passed away on June 7, 2021 at the age 72 surrounded by loved ones.

Steven was born on May 19, 1949 to parents Raymond Dungee and Geraldine Clyburn, who preceded him in death. Steven was the eldest son of six children and the most loving and devoted  "Big Brother" ever.

He was a true sports lover and a die heart fan of the Brooklyn Nets and New York Giants. Music was Steven's passion throughout his life. In his youth, he was a member of a locally famous quartet group named "Intrigue of Sound".

Steven was an honored Vietnam War Veteran who served in the Unites States Marine Corp from July 1968 to January 1970.  He continued to be actively involved with supporting a multitude of Veterans programs in support of our men and women who served this country.

Steven's work ethic was like no other.  After 34 dedicated years working for NJ Department of Transportation, he retired in 2011. He also worked for the NJ Transit Bus Operations for 24 years until 2019.

Steven is survived by his four children; Traci Spencer-Skinner (Robert), Tawana Clyburn (Kanisha), Zalonda Clyburn Arrington (Tony), and Malachi Clyburn; his siblings Lolita Clyburn, Guillermo Jose Clyburn, and Carmen Lopez-Goodnow (John); five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of cousins, relatives and many friends.
