Stephen S. Manescu, of Catasauqua, passed away on January 7th at the age of 86. He was born in Bethlehem, on May 16, 1926, to the late Samuel and Marea (Heit) Manescu. In 1930 he returned with his family to Sasca Montana, Romania and returned to the U.S. in 1947. Stephen was predeceased by his wife, of 58 years, Stephanie M. (Burnatowski), his son John and a brother John Manescu. He had worked for A and B Meats, Malone's Bakery, and Modern Plumbing and Heating in Allentown. He had attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Survivors: Sons: Ronald and wife sue Manescu and Stephen Manescu, Daughter Patricia and husband James Becker, Brother Leon Manescu, Grandchildren: Jennifer Reid, Jimmy Becker, and Michael Becker

Services: A visitation will be held from 10-11AM on Saturday January 12 to be followed by a service at 11AM at Weber Funeral Home, 502 Ridge Ave. in Allentown.
