Stephen L. Lucas Jr.
Stephen L. Lucas Jr. 80, of Center Valley went to be with the Lord and Savior on September 11, 2010. He was born and raised in Bethlehem, PA. He was the son of the late Stephen and Pauline (Rossman) Lucas. His loving, devoted wife, Helen (Sabo) Lucas will dearly miss the company of her cherished husband of 57 years. Steve attended Liberty High School, Bethlehem, and at the age of 17, joined the Navy & served during the Korean War. After serving in the Navy, he worked at the Bethlehem Steel at the Central Tool Plant. During this time, he attended the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University & Millersville University. He graduated with a Masters of Education. Steve became an Industrial Arts teacher at Southern Lehigh in 1957. After teaching for seven years, he became the Director of Buildings, Grounds & Transportation for the Southern Lehigh School District. His hobbies included key collecting, fishing, refinishing antiques, and cheering on the Philadelphia Phillies. As a father, his children will remember him most for his wonderful work ethic, honesty & care of family.
Steve was blessed with sons; Robert S. Lucas & his wife Kathy of Tatamy, PA, Brian R. Lucas and his wife Debbie of Bluffton, SC. A daughter Marsha H. Hudson & her husband Jeff of Center Valley. Five Grandchildren; Carissa, Jenna, Tyler, Erika & Lucas.
