Hodson, Sophie

**Services Rescheduled**

Sophie Hodson, 84, of Allentown, died Jan. 20, 2016 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Born in Germany; she was a daughter of the late Emil and Amanda Gruenke. Sophie was the wife of the late John M. Hodson for 47 years until his death in 2002. She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Lehigh County Senior Center. Sophie was employed by Phoenix Clothes as a sewing machine operator. She enjoyed watching baseball and fishing with her husband. Sophie was predeceased by a sister, Erika Kammerer.

Survivors: Daughter, Barbara Gunnet of Macungie; Siblings, Emil Gruenke and his wife Albertine of Salisbury Twp., Margaret Kammerer of Canada, Lisa Jost of Allentown, and Alfred Gruenke and his wife Joan of Wescosville; and many nieces and nephews.

Services: Due to the inclement weather, services have been rescheduled to 11 AM, Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016 at WEBER FUNERAL HOME, 1619 Hamilton St., Allentown. Viewing: 10:00-11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
