Sieglinde "Lynn" Gaskill, 80, of Lanark, Upper Saucon Township, died May 12 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. She was the beloved wife of David L. Gaskill. They were married for 45 years.
Born in Konstanz, Germany, in 1941, she was a daughter of the late Max and Bertha Eibert, who were natives of Switzerland. She and her siblings, Armin, Astrid, and Solveig, immigrated with their parents to the United States in 1950, eventually settling in Allentown.
Lynn was a graduate of William Allen High School Class of 1959. Before becoming a homemaker, she worked as a secretary for the late Atty. Madeline Palladino, who became a federal court judge, and then at the former Allentown Portland Cement Co. She utilized her self-taught shorthand skills all her life.
Aside from being a marvelous cook, Lynn had a strong appreciation for the beauty of nature and loved all animals.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, Byron Gaskill; a daughter, Sabrina Gaskill in New Mexico, and sisters, Astrid, wife of David Zelko of Catasauqua, and Solveig, wife of Jack Rhian in Florida.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Norcross-Weber Funeral Home, Coopersburg.
