Shirley S. Mriss, 92 years old, died Wed. Oct. 21, 2015 at Phoebe Nursing Home under the care of Lehigh Valley Hospice. She was the daughter of the late Daisy (Good) and Frederick Schaffer.

Survivors: Daughters Carol Mriss and Susan Tauschman; sons Joseph Mriss and wife Linda, and Michael Morrissey and wife Colleen; grandchildren Jody, Michael, Vinnie, Alex, Kaitlyn, and Derek; and great granddaughters Stevie and Sam; She is predeceased by her husband Martin A. Mriss; sons Martin "Sonny" Mriss and James D. Morrissey; 2 newborn baby boys; grandson Jack Tauschman; brothers Franklin, Martin, and Stanley; and sisters Miriam and Helen.
