Shirley Dierolf
Shirley Dierolf 85, passed away on March 25 in the Topton Lutheran Home where she resided. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Marie (Hess) Hearst. She was the wife of the late Claude E. Dierolf, former Dean of Students at Muhlenberg College. She graduated from Sworthmore College class of 1944, then obtained a Masters Degree from University of Pennsylvania. She taught Biology at Cedar Crest College from 1966-1986. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and served on Church Council; as President of the Women of Redeemer and taught in the adult Sunday School. Shirley was also a member of Chapter 5 PEO.
Survivors; Daughter, Deborah of Tucson, Arizona, Son, Steven of Pittsburg, PA. Sister, Doris Leech of New Bern, NC. Granddaughters, Shannon Sanders, Wendy Gore, Great-Granddaughters, Hannah and Emme Sanders.
