Ruth S. Hichar, 89, a resident of Fellowship Manor, passed away March 17th at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Eva (Sefing) Seagreaves. She was the loving wife of the late William Hichar for 53 years until his death in 2004. Ruth graduated from Allen High School in 1943 and worked for Bell Telephone for 10 years. She was an avid bowler for over 40 years and enjoyed painting.

Survivors: Son, William D. of Whitehall; daughter, Audrey and son-in-law Steven Gable Sr. of Emmaus; grandchildren, Steven Jr. husband of Nicole, and Kyle. Ruth was predeceased by a brother, James Seagreaves and a sister, Ann Rausch.
