Obituary

Ruth, 69, of Fleetwood passed away on February 26, 2014 at Kindred Hospital in Havertown. She was born in Allentown on May 1, 1943 to the late Jane (Bartlett) and Wilfred M. Post Jr. She is predeceased by her sister Barbara Jane Post. She graduated from Muhlenberg College and Lehigh University.
She retired from the chemistry department at the Reading Hospital. She was an active Red Cross swimming instructor for years in the Reading Area. For the past fifteen years, she was founder, director of the PA German School for the Oley Elementary Center's Pennsylvania History Festival. She was a founding member of: the Oley Dutch Klup, the Oley Daal PA Deitsch Schul committee where she was known as "the Toy Lady". It was part of the Oley School District's Summer Enrichment Program. Her festival School' was given recognition in Hiwwe wie Driwwe, the PA German / Palatinate culture newsletter printed in Germany.

Survivors: Son, Poul Bridegam of Fleetwood; sister, Susan Post McNeil of Easton; brother, Wilfred (Mac) Post III of Powell TN; one niece, Lauren McNeil; two nephews, Andrew McNeil, Brian Post; three grand nephews, Malachi, Callum, Brendan; and other loving family and friends.
