Russell W. Berger, 81 years and 2 months of Allentown died Sunday June 8, 2008 at his residence. He was the husband of BarbaraAnn D. (McMann) Berger for the past 40 years being married April 20, 1968. Born in Macungie, he was a son of the late Warren E. and Barbara E. (Zimmerman) Berger. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in World War II and a member of the American Legion Post 576 of Allentown. Survivors: Wife; daughter, Deanna wife of John Wenner of Catasauqua; sons, Charles E. Stettler, Sr. of Allentown, Warren R. Berger of Whitehall, Donald W. Berger, Sr. of Allentown and Robert E. Berger formerly of Allentown; adopted children Dennis and Betty Zimmerman of Hamburg; sisters, Doris Lowell of Macungie, Geraldine Gehringer of Fogelsville and Lennia Bailey of Mertztown; brother, Roger Berger of Breinigsville; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
