Rudy F. Lopez, age 72, of Zionsville, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was born December 9, 1950 in Puerto Rico, the son of the late Esteban and Aurea (Figueroa) Vasquez.

Rudy retired from Stanley Vidmar and worked for 30 years owning his own business, the Zionsville Antique Mall. He donated his time to inner city kids at Ring 23 and eventually opened his own boxing gym in Allentown, called the 7th Street Gym. He was also a boxing coach at Lehigh University. He assisted with Spanish Ministries at various churches and attended Salem Bible Church in Macungie. Rudy enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and his pet bulldog, Ruby. Most of all he loved sharing his faith with others.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Maritza A. (Alvarado) Lopez; two sons Rudy Lopez, Jr. (Tara) and Mark (Susan) Lopez; daughter, Melissa (Daniel) Weigner; eight grandchildren, Alexis, Alaina, Ava, Mia, Gavin, Landon, Cristian, and Sloane; two brothers, Wilburt Lopez and Esteban Sanchez Lopez; and four sisters, Rosaura Lopez, Elisa Fuentes, Mariana Figueroa, and Iliana Ramos.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, David and Ramon Lopez; and two sisters, Judy and Milagros Lopez.

A Public Viewing will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Funeral Services at 10:30 A.M. all at Salem Bible Church, 8031 Salem Bible Church Rd, Macungie, PA 18062. Interment will immediately follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Salem Bible Church Missions Fund, 8031 Salem Bible Church Rd, Macungie, PA 18062.
