Rowland J. Bauer, 85, of Emmaus formerly of Allentown died Monday in Lehigh Valley Hospice. He was the husband of Marie T. (Schultz) Bauer for the past 63 years having married June 24, 1946. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Charles and Frances (Groller) Bauer. Rowland was a truck driver for the Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 40 years before retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church of Emmaus. He served our country with the US Army during WW II. Rowland was a member of the Bethlehem Lodge 283 Lehigh Consistory, Rajah Shrine and a lifetime area musician Survivors: Wife; son, Rowland J. of Bath; daughter Nancy wife of Paul Lizun of Emmaus; five grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles of Center Valley. Predeceased brothers, Walter, Edward and Al and sisters, Emma, Florence and Elsie.
