Rosemary T. Rath, 95, of Whitehall was united with her beloved family on July 19, 2021.  Born in Allentown on October 10, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Edward T. and Rose E. (Flaherty) Rath and sister of the late Joseph Rath.  Rosemary was a feisty little lady with a never ending quest for "learning and doing".

After graduating from CCHS, she earned a nursing degree from the Sacred Heart School of Nursing.  She received a BS in Nursing Ed and an MS in Public Health Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania.  She did post-graduate work at the University of North Carolina and NY Medical College, was a Public Health Nurse Coordinator at Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia, worked in the Philadelphia Department of Health at Children's Hospital and was a Psychiatric Nurse.

She served in Public Health Nursing in the Crippled Children's Sect on the North Carolina Board of Health, was the Director of Information and Referral at the Lehigh County MH/MR from which she retired, served on the Advisory Board of Lehigh County Community College, served as Chairman of the Lehigh County Committee on Employment of the Handicapped and was a member of the American Public Health Association, the American Nurses Association, the Pennsylvania Nurses Association and the American Association of University Women.

She was Vice-Chairman of the Public Health Nurses Sect and Philadelphia District and was Vice-President of BPW.  She was a Soroptimist and was listed in Who's Who of American Women.

Rosemary travelled extensively but was most happy about her trip to Ireland to visit her homeland!

Services: Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church 618 Fullerton Ave, Whitehall, PA; interment is private.
