Rose Wasniewski
Rose Wasniewski, 88, passed away March 5, 2013 at the Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke's. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late John and Rose (Fox) Oakes. She was married to the late John W. Wasniewski for over 58 years until his death in 2006. Rose was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Coopersburg and a lifetime member of the VFW post 3405 Ladies Auxiliary. Rose assembled bombs during WWII and was an expeditor for Quakertown Clothing until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at Sacred Heart Senior Living by the creek in Center Valley.
Survivors: Son, Jim, husband of Theresa of NJ; Daughter, Rosemarie, wife of Alan Jones of Quakertown; Sister, Dolores Wisniewski of Philadelphia; Grandchildren, Toni, and Alan, Jr.; Great grandmother of 8. She was predeceased by two sisters, Catherine Kalita and Mary Oakes, two brothers, John and Charles Oakes, and two grandchildren, Jimmy and Brenden Wasniewski.
