Rose J. Kennedy, 89, of Rockport, West Virginia, passed away in the early morning hours of February 27th at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Josephine (Falco) Angelino. She was the loving wife of the late Jerome Kennedy for 59 years until his death on June 14, 2000.
Rose loved caring and cooking for her family. She enjoyed taking pictures at family gatherings over the years and creating photo albums. Following her husband's death she moved to rural West Virginia in 2000 to be with her sons. She loved the quiet and peacefulness of country life there and was a member of the Pond Creek Club of the West Virginia Cooperative Extension Outreach Services (CEOS) Homemakers.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Kennedy and his wife Jorie and Thomas Kennedy and his wife Victoria, all of Rockport, WV. She is also survived by three sisters: Isabel (Ralph) Gambone of Annapolis, MD, Geraldine (Joseph) Vallone of Springtown, PA, Loretta (Donald) Lohr, of Windemere, FL, two brothers John Angelino of Allentown, PA, Anthony (Karen) Angelino of Macungie, PA, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Patrick (Cecilia) Angelino, and her sister Anne (Dominic) Mongilutz.
Funeral services will be held at Weber Funeral Home, 502 Ridge Avenue, Allentown, PA (www.weberfuneralhomes.com ) on Wednesday, March 4, at 10 a.m. Viewing hours are scheduled for 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3 and 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4.
