Rose (Hichar) Hessinger, 97, of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023. She was born October 25, 1925 in Emmaus, the daughter of the late Joseph and Helena (Bzik) Hichar.

Rose worked for many years in the textile industry with her husband, Paul; both as forelady and co-owner of the original Pam Sportswear Inc. in Lehighton, PA. They also worked at various sportswear factories in Allentown. She enjoyed many activities over the years including sewing, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, doting on her granddaughter, and spending many days of her retirement fishing for trout on the banks of local streams with her husband.

She is survived by two daughters, Pamela (Frederick) Freed and Nancy (Bill) Danek; granddaughter Kristen (Mark) Romanelli; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in 2010 by her loving husband of 57 years, Paul W. Hessinger; and son, Brian.
