Obituary

Rose Guaglione, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on November 13th at the age of 88 . She was born in San Marco dei Cavoti, Italy to the late John and Angelina (Iacocca) Colarusso and was predeceased by her loving husband Henry in 2012, after 55 years of marriage.  She loved to cook for her family, making many outstanding Italian dishes. Rose was a devout Catholic who loved her faith, she was a eucharistic minister, member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and a member of the church Prime Time Club. Rose's faith brought all of us together. It shaped each of us, bringing us peace, and right up to her last breath, it was clear, it brought her peace.

Survivors: Sons: Robert P. and wife Diana of West Hempstead,NY, Donato J.and wife Ann N. of Commack, NY; Daughter Linda A. wife of Philip S. Janny of Allentown; Grandchildren: Daniel, Angela, Matthew, Emily, Michael, Nicholas and Kaitlyn. Sister Carmelina Porro of Italy.


Services: A Viewing will be held on Friday November 16th from 7:00 PM till 9:00PM at Weber Funeral Home 502 Ridge Ave., Allentown,PA and on Saturday November 17th at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 1040 Flexer Ave., in Allentown; a viewing from 8:45-9:45 AM to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM.


In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose's memory may be made to: St. Thomas More Parish Nurse Ministry or to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2024 Lehigh Street, Allentown,PA 18103.
