Rosalie F. Snyder
Rosalie F. (Klonfer) Snyder 67, passed away at her home in Emmaus on Monday, May 31 surrounded by her family and friends and under the care of Hospice of the Lehigh Valley Hospital. She had a successful bone marrow transplant in 2007 to win the fight against CLL and Lymphoma and this allowed her many enjoyable times with her family and friends for the next 3 years. She was the wife of Richard H. Snyder and would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in September. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Plotsko) Klonfer. She graduated from Dieruff High School and Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing in 1963. Her nursing career began in the Pediatric Unit at Sacred Heart and included several jobs as office nurse for physicians, and ended as a visiting nurse for Lehigh County Visiting Nurses. She also served as a Teacher's Aide in the East Penn School District when her children were attending. After nursing she worked at Little People Day School in Fogelsville and at Rock-A-Bye Baby in Emmaus. She loved to travel with friends & family and Nana especially loved taking her three granddaughters to plays and shows at the children's theatres in the area. She was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors: Husband ; daughter Michele and her husband Rich Loso and his sons Richard, Danny, & Chris of West Haven, CT; daughter Elena and husband Efrain Rodriguez, Jr. and daughters Cassandra, Sophia, and Katarina of Allentown. These three granddaughters were Nana's pride and joy of her life. Her wonderful generous bone marrow donor Gwen Cholewski. She loved her doctors and Staff and the care they provided, Dr. Dennis Giangiulio, who cared for her since 1996 and her transplant doctor Alison Loren & her staff at the Univ. of PA hospital.
