Ronald R. Pletz, nickname "Durango", 63, of Whitehall, passed away October 12, 2006 at his residence surrounded by family. Mr. Pletz was born in Allentown to the late John, Sr. and Mary (Latsch) Pletz. He was the husband of Roseann (Scott) Pletz with whom he celebrated his 44th Anniversary with on August 11, 2006. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Allentown. He worked for Mack Trucks for 39 years until his retirement in 2002. He held various positions within the UAW local 677. The most recent was committee person and alternate chair person. He was a member of the Allentown Italian Club.
Survivors: Wife; Daughter, Rhonda Rose, wife of Antonio Solano of Allentown; Son, Matthew D. Pletz, husband of Jennifer of Catasauqua; Grandchildren, Matthew D. Pletz, II and Jack R. Pletz; Brother, John Pletz, Jr.; Sister, Jean Smith and Patricia Nighan.
Services: 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 17 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 801 N. 11th Street, Allentown. Calling: 10:00 A.M. until time of services. www.weberfuneralhomes.com
