Robert F. Waters
Robert F. Waters, 67, of Wescosville, passed away May 15, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Waters was born in Pottsville, PA on Feb. 7, 1939 to the late Frank K. and Elizabeth (Tobin) Waters; he was the husband of Jacquelyn (Evans) Waters for over 37 years. Robert attended and graduated in 1957 from St. Patrick's Elementary & Nativity B.V.M. High School. He attended Penn State University for one year and LaSalle College, Philadelphia for three years. While at LaSalle, he was a member of the championship ROTC basketball team. During his summers of college he worked for the famous 500 Club in Atlantic City. He served in the U.S. Army reserves (1961-67), where he played football at Fort Dix, NJ. He is a regional manager for C.R. England, Inc., Salt Lake City, Utah for the mid-Atlantic region. He was former president of Allentown Chapter 28 and the Delta NJ Alpha Transportation Fraternity. He was a former member of the board of directors of the Lehigh Valley Traffic Club. He was a member of the National Football Foundation, College Hall of Fame chapter 25, the Pottsville area High School All-Sports Hall of Fame Committee, Parkland football boosters club, International Sinatra Society, National Republican Committee, the Heritage Foundation and the Mercantile Club, Emmaus. He was a member and served as an usher for many years at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Salisbury twp.
Survivors: Wife; Son, Craig Waters, husband of Kelly of Macungie; Daughter, Catherine Waters of Wescosville; Sisters, Elizabeth Haley of North Carolina and Sally Richards of Idaho; Many nieces and nephews
Services: Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 18 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 17 at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 Hamilton St., Allentown, and 8:30 - 9:30 A.M. Thursday, May 18 at the church.
