IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert "Bob"
T. Kelly
April 23, 1954 – October 2, 2025
Robert "Bob" Kelly, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, after a courageous three-year battle with ALS. He was 71 years old.
Born to John and Mary Kelly, Bob grew up in Germantown, Philadelphia, in a lively household as one of eight children — Barbara, Beverly, John, Terry, Mary, Ricky (deceased), and Karen. His Germantown roots instilled in him a strong sense of determination, community, and loyalty — qualities that defined the man he became.
Bob was a self-made and successful man, whose determination, work ethic, and heart built a life full of purpose, generosity, and love. He took pride in creating opportunities for himself and others while never forgetting where he came from.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sheila Cullen Kelly, and his five children — Brendan (45) and his wife Nicole, Kara (42) and her husband Michael, Patrick (38) and his wife Victoria, Sean (38) and his wife Amanda, and Kathryn (29) — who were his greatest joy and source of pride. He was also the loving grandfather of six — Logan (20), Max (15), Lily (12), Valentina (10), Augustus (7), and Florencia (3) — each of whom were shining lights that lit up his world whenever they were with him.
A lifelong Philadelphia sports fan, Bob lived, breathed, and bled Eagles green, Phillies red, Sixers blue, and Flyer's orange. Whether celebrating a big win or more frequently, commiserating after a tough loss, he embodied the spirit, passion, and grit of his city, which he passed down to his children and grandchildren.
Those who knew Bob will remember his quick wit, his kindness, and his unwavering strength. Even as he battled ALS, he did so with courage, grace, and a sense of humor that inspired everyone around him.
Bob's legacy is one of love, perseverance, and family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
