Robert (Bob) Klotz Sr. passed away surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, laughter, creativity, and love.

A proud Vietnam veteran and longtime union plumber with Local 690, Bob was a dedicated provider who took pride in an honest day’s work. A gifted handyman, there wasn’t much he couldn’t build or fix. He especially loved working with wood—chopping firewood, crafting unique birdhouses, and creating abstract wood sculptures. He was also a lifelong Philadelphia Phillies fan.

Bob shared 50 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Marie, and was a devoted father to Robert R. Klotz Jr. and Zoë E. Klotz, and a proud grandfather to Sophia and Piper Klotz. He had a gentle heart, loved animals—especially his dogs Ruby and Deogee—and enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, including a cold beer.

Known for his quick wit, uniquely honest personality, and the outrageous things he’d say just to get a laugh, Bob brought smiles to those around him and never pretended to be anyone but himself.

He will be remembered as a hardworking man, a talented craftsman, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a loyal friend. His love, humor, and the things he built with his hands will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a veterans organization or a local animal shelter in Bob’s memory.
