Robert "Rob" D. Benedix, Jr., age 74, of North Catasauqua, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Fairlane Gardens at Reading Nursing Home. He was born September 20, 1948 in Allentown, PA, the son of the late Robert D. Benedix, Sr. and Emma (Jane) Benedix.

Rob worked for 30 years at Agere Systems in Allentown.

He is survived by one daughter, Tina L. Petko and spouse, Tim J. Petko, Sr. of North Catasauqua; two sons, Jeffrey Benedix of Allentown and Shawn Benedix of Virginia; two brothers, Michael Benedix and Allen and spouse, Debbie Benedix, all of Florida; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by wife, Kathryn A. Benedix and step-father, Ray Fahringer.

Professional Services are entrusted to Weber Funeral Homes, P.C. in Allentown. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, October 20, 2022 starting at 9:00 A.M. until the Memorial Service at 10:00 A.M. all at Weber Funeral Homes, P.C. 1619 Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA 18102. Interment will immediately follow in Grandview Cemetery in Allentown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rob's memory to the American Cancer Society at http://www.cancer.org.
