Rita, 90, of Coopersburg, passed away on June 23, 2013. She was born on April 23, 1923 in Nuremberg, PA to the late Frank and Catherine (Hollis) Marchetti. She attended North Union Township High School, and went on to earn her R.N. from Passaic General Hospital School of Nursing in 1944. She then continued on to get certified in Operating Room Technique and Management from Cornell Medical Center. Rita loved
Spending time with her grand-daughters, and spent countless hours knitting and crocheting. She also loved New York, ballroom dancing, flowers, music and concert trips to New Hampshire.
She is predeceased by sibling James Marchetti.

Survivors: Siblings, Robert Marchetti, and Lorraine Ude. Sons John Thies and Jeffery Thies; daughter Carol Duncan; and 3 granddaughters.

Services: Viewing from 9-10am on Saturday, June 29 at Norcross-Weber Funeral Home, 101B N. Main St. Coopersburg. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 at the Church of St. Isidore, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd, Quakertown. Internment at the church cemetery to follow.
