Richard R. Leiby Jr., 62, of Allentown, passed away June 28, 2023. Born in Allentown he was the son of the late Richard R. Leiby Sr. and the surviving Florence (Snyder) Leiby.

Richard honorably served in the US Army for three years. During his service, he was stationed in Washington state during the Mt. St. Helen eruption; he also spent a year overseas in Germany. He is remembered for being passionate about his woodworking and maintaining his flower gardens. Richard was an avid sports fan, specifically following the Eagles and stock car auto racing.

In addition to his mother, he will be lovingly remembered by his brother, John Leiby; his nephews: John Leiby Jr., and his wife, Alex, and Tyler Leiby; a grand-nephew, John Daniel Leiby, and a grand-niece: Aubrie Leiby.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's memory to the American Diabetes Association.
