Richard J. Giering Sr., 73 of Souderton, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at ManorCare of Allentown, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 8, 1943 in Northampton to the late Howard and Helen (Mullin) Giering. He is predeceased by his wife Carol (Muschlitz) Giering. Richard was and avid fisherman, loved to golf, play cards and could often be found with his best friend Don Youthers by his side. He was retired from A-1 Restaurant Supply Company. Richard is survived by; Two sons, David K. Giering Sr. and wife Donna of Allentown, Richard J. Giering Jr. and wife Colleen of Bethlehem; Three daughters, Deborah Giering and John Leach of Colorado, Darlene Giering of Allentown, Carol Briggs and husband Mike of Allentown; Grandchildren, Jennifer, Richard III, Anthony and Ashley Giering, Keith and Bradley Leach, Angelo Carlos, Joshua and Christopher Santiago, Ashley Villa, David Giering Jr., Michelle Briggs and Amanda Roche,18 Great-grandchildren; three brothers, Howard and his wife Joanne of Wescosville, William and his wife Frances of Allentown David and his wife Divina of Souderton, three sisters; Sandra Martinez and husband Julio of Bethlehem, Pearl Wambold and the late Earl of Bath, Linda Cruz and the late "Bonny" of Allentown. Richard was predeceased by seven siblings; Robert, Thomas, Barbara, Dorothy, Betty, Peggy'Lee and Evelyn. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 6pm to 8pm, a service of remembrance will follow at 8pm with Robert Hendricks officiating, all at Weber Funeral Home 1619 Hamilton, PA 18102.
