Obituary

Kern, Sr., Richard W., 81, known to most of his friends and family as Froggy passed away on April 25, 2016. He was born in Allentown on November 18, 1934 to the late George and Minnie (Heckman) Kern. He spent 57 years of marriage with the late Veronica R. (Martin) Kern. He worked as a fork lift operator for Lehigh Valley Dairy for 37 years until his retirement in 1997. He proudly served his country in the Army. He was a life member at the Fearless Fire Co. and bowled league there on Monday and Friday nights. He is predeceased by brothers Larry and Robert.
Survivors: Son Richard Kern Jr., and wife Michelle of Coplay; granddaughters Allison and Emily; sisters Marion Reimert, Jean Wagner and Lois Schadt; brother Dale; nieces; nephews; and many other loving family and friends.
Services: A Viewing will be held Tuesday May 3, from 7-9 pm at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 W. Hamilton St. Allentown. A second viewing will be held Wednesday, May 4, from 8:30-9:30 am at the Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am at St. Paul RC Church, 920 S. 2nd St. Allentown. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Allentown
