Richard W. Buchwald, Sr.

Richard W. Buchwald, Sr., 61, of Allentown, died Nov.1, 2013 at the St. Luke's Hospice House. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of Albert and Bernadette (Durnin) Buchwald. He was the loving husband of Paula Spring. He worked in construction for most of his life. Richard proudly served in the Navy, Navy Reserve, and the Maryland and Pennsylvania National Guard. He was a member of the Scottish Rite and Bethlehem Masonic Lodge #283. Richard enjoyed spending time with his family and being a "Pappy" to his grandchildren. Survivors: Wife; Daughter, Shayne Buchwald; Sons, Richard W. Buchwald, Jr., husband of Helene and Kenneth Escolopio, husband of Farrah; Brothers, Albert "Bucky", Thomas "Champ", and Kenneth Knight; Sisters, Carolyn "Cissy" Haines, Bonnie Weckesser, Janet Wolf, and Vicky Gray; Grandchildren, Aidan, Declan, Finnegan, Lochlan, and Anthony; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Ronnie Knight.
Services: 1:00 PM, Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 at Kreamer Funeral Home, 618 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003. Viewing: 11:00 AM until time of services at the funeral home.
