Raymond Roland Smicker

Raymond Roland Smicker, 80, of Whitehall, died on July 3, 2016 at the Lehigh Valley Hospice, Inpatient Unit. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Samuel and Helen (Gruber) Smicker. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force. For over 35 years, Raymond was a photographer and printer of photographs. He worked in the photographic department at Bethlehem Steel before becoming a partner with the Lehigh Valley Photographic Services. He then became the sole owner of Silver Images, a photographic laboratory, where he printed photographs for Tiffany & Co., ArtsQuest, local artists, and various community events. He was especially known for his Pin Hole Images and being the exclusive processor for Hard Coal Chronicles. Raymond was predeceased by a sister, Lucille.

Survivors: Son, Andrew Smicker and his wife Hannah (Rademacher) Smicker; Grandson, William Smicker; Sister, Dolores Hartman; Brother, Robert Smicker; and many nieces and nephews.
