IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Raymond A.
Bushner
October 31, 1928 – October 17, 2025
Raymond A. Bushner, age 96, of Coopersburg, PA went home to the Lord on October 17, 2025 while at Complete Care Nursing Home in Macungie. He was predeceased by his wife, Jane E. (Dubowicz) Bushner, to whom he was happily married for 69 years. Born in Coplay, October 31, 1928, Raymond was the son of the late Nicholas and Angeline (Batiska) Bushner. He served in the National Guard and the U.S. Army during the Korean war. He was a Sergeant 1st Class, Gun Commander of the Anti-aircraft Division and was honorably discharged in 1952. He was employed as a foreman for 20 years with Asplundh Tree Expert Company. Later, he was self-employed as the owner of Bushner Tree Service in Coopersburg for 35 years before retiring in 2007. He was a devout member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Coopersburg and volunteered at their annual church picnic for many years. Ray and Jane met at a ballroom dance at Dorney Park. They married in 1952 and raised six children together. He instilled in them the importance of hard work, honesty and compassion toward others. Ray worked hard over the years to support his family, often working two jobs. He was always one to help out someone in need. Back in the days before roadside service existed, Ray would stop to help someone whose car had broken down or had a flat tire. Since he was in the tree business, he was occasionally called to help rescue cats from trees.
