Raymond H. Alpha, Jr., 65, of Allentown died Monday at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Joyce L. (Younger) Alpha. Ray and Joyce celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in November. Ray was born in Allentown, a son of Eleanor (Wismer) Alpha of Allentown and the late Raymond H. Alpha, Sr. He was an electrician for the former Bethlehem Steel Corp.for 31 years and owner of the former R & R Service of Allentown for 38 years. Ray was a member of the Harley-Davidson Owners Group (Perrysville Chapter), former director of the Allentown Swimming and Boating Club, and member of the Lehigh Valley Flying Club. Survivors: Wife, mother, sons, Raymond H., III and wife Karen and Joel R. both of Bethlehem; daughters, Wendy L. Alexander of New Jersey, Crystal A. Dilliard of Beaufort, SC, Jennifer J. Alpha of Washington, DC and Roxanne L. Alpha of Allentown; brothers, Edward of Emmaus, Glenn and Robert both of Whitehall and Matthew of Allentown; sisters, Barbara Abraham of Bethlehem and Ruth Alpha of Allentown; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
