Ramona Lee (Daugherty) Hixenbaugh, just shy of 91 years of age, passed away on September 25, 2026 at Lehigh Valley Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Finleyville PA, long time resident of Center Valley, she was the daughter of Harry and Pearl (Wensing) Daugherty. Ramona was the wife of the late Roy (Herb) Hixenbaugh of 50 years before his passing on September 25, 2009. She graduated from Monongahela High School in 1953 and attended Westminster College. She was a sales associate for over 20 years at Hess's department store, working at the main location in downtown Allentown, the South Mall, and later as the Sales Manager of the Furniture Department in Richlandtown. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Red Hat Society. Ramona was a competitive game player, spending many hours enjoying her favorite game, Mahjong, with her friends at the Senior Center and recently also teaching others at her retirement village. She was a devoted Pittsburgh sports fan. Matriarch of the Hixenbaugh Family, she was known for her kindness and fairness. She maintained close personal relationships with even the youngest members of the family. Ramona was predeceased by her husband, son Royce and daughter Roxanne. She is survived by four children, Rhonda Abel and companion Jimmy Fritzinger, Rebekah Angstadt and husband Scott, Ryan and wife Vicky, Randall and wife Betsy; grandchildren, Daniel Witt and wife Nicole, Eric Witt and wife Beth, Jessica Witt and fiancé Jason, Nevin and Caitlin Fritzinger and partner John Still, Grace Holmes and husband Casey, Lillian and Ryan Dougherty and partner Kailey Wrecsics and her son Slade, and James Hixenbaugh, Great-grandchildren; Isabelle, Layla, Daniel, Adam, Alexia, Tanner, Oona, Quinn, and Abigail. Services: A gathering will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday October 3, until the time of the memorial service at Weber-Norcross Funeral Home, 101 N. Main St., Coopersburg, PA.
