Peter Weiksner, Jr., 73, of South Whitehall Township, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 31, 2017. He was the husband of Charlene Kenney and the son of the late Albert and Carolyn (Bernhardt) Weiksner.

Born in Allentown on July 18, 1944, he grew up in Jim Thorpe. His family operated the Hotel Switzerland in Jim Thorpe from the early 1900's until the mid 1980's. He graduated from Jim Thorpe Area High School in 1962 and received his MBA from Lehigh University in 1966. For 41 years he taught business classes at Lehigh Carbon Community College. He leaves a lasting impression on many students and will always be remembered fondly by them for his straight forward sense of humor.

He was very passionate about sports and coached LCCC'S Basketball and Cross Country teams and enjoyed coaching girls & boys youth basketball locally for many years.

In his later years he loved going to the beach, mountain biking, and most especially cherished the times he spent with his grandchildren.

Survivors: Wife, Charlene; Son: Skip Weiksner of Allentown; Daughter: Betsy Morley, wife of Luke, of Lancaster; Stepdaughters: Beth Kenney, wife of Pietro Caravello, of South Whitehall, and Andrea Kenney, wife of Andrew Daniels, of Upper Macungie;

and Abby, Luke and Sean Morley
