Peter, 66, passed away in Allentown on May 26, 2013. He was born in Wilkes-Barre on January 10, 1947. After high school he joined the Army as a radio operator and earned his sharpshooters badge, and the national defense service medal. After the Army he became a boiler operator at Bethlehem Steel, and moved to Allentown in 1979. He would later retire from The Morning Call in 2011 where he worked as a security supervisor. In his spare time he installed and replaced windows and aluminum siding in the Lehigh Valley for over 20 years. He is predeceased by loving wife of 25 years Nancy Czoch of Allentown.
Survivors: Mother Cora Helen Rickard nee Karash of Wilkes-Barre; daughter Patricia Czoch; brothers Richard Rickard of Wilkes-Barre and James Rickard of Waldenbuch, Germany; sister Susan Ann Lane-Toner of La Jolla, CA; step-daughters Antoinette Culp of Allentown and Camille Cozzubbo of Bethlehem; step-grandson Thomas Goffredo-Culp of Allentown; step-great granddaughter Isabella Marie Goffredo; many nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.
Services: A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, from 9am-10am. A service will follow at 10am. All at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 W. Hamilton St. Allentown.
