Obituary

Paul Talago, 93, passed away at his home Feb. 14, 2021. Born January 28, 1928 near Bridgeport, WV. He was the son of Joseph & Anna (Tishko) along with brothers Joseph (dec.) and Stanley.
Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary (Makar), married 64 years. She passed away at home in 2016. Paul is survived by their seven children:

Donna, wife of Robert Walsh (gc son Paul, daughter Katherine)
Michael, married to Leslie (Helm) (gc daughters Elizabeth & Emily, son Aaron)
Joseph, married to Cindy (Weaver) (gc sons Justin, [ggc Bianca, Mateo, Noah], James & Simon)
Andrew, married to Tina (Manes) (gc sons Fernando & Stephen [gcc Aiden, Madison, Finely])
Rose, married to Chris Weller (gc daughter Lauren [gcc Emma], sons John &
Andrew)
John, married to Dorothy (Ronca) (gc daughters Lia, Emma & Ava, son Luke)
Paul earned his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University in 1949 and his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Perdue University in 1954. He was an Army ROTC Marksman at WVU and went on to become a decorated Korean War veteran of The United States Army serving in Japan and Korea with the Army Corps of Engineers, 323rd Light Equipment Company. He was Honorably discharged from active duty with the rank of Captain in 1952 and remained a Reservist through 1954.
Paul began his professional career as an engineer with the Bethlehem Steel Corporation. He subsequently moved to Traylor Engineering of Allentown which became Fuller Engineering/ GATX during his tenure where he was the Chief Engineer of Pyro-Processing. He designed and built projects worldwide in the mining, cement, and ore processing industries. He holds several US Patents. He retired from engineering in 1986. Alongside his engineering career he worked tirelessly in his home based business, Chestnut Hill Nursery of Center Valley, PA which he started in 1959. He "sort of" retired from the nursery in 2005.
Paul & Mary were active members of St. Joseph's Church in Limeport, PA where they volunteered their time taking care of the church inside and out.
A public viewing will take place on Tuesday February 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church followed by a mass at 11:00.
