Otto L. Niedermeyer, 95, passed away Sept. 27 at Lehigh Center. Born in Allentown he was a son of the late Frank and Augusta (Ehretz) Niedermeyer. Otto was the husband of Bertha (Mirth) who passed away in June. Otto received the Purple Heart while serving in the Army during WWII. He was employed by the former Hess Brothers Dept. Store as a carpenter for many yrs, after which he was employed by the City of Allentown as a Supervisor of the Parks Dept. for 21 yrs. until his retirement. Otto was an avid bowler, and enjoyed fishing and gardening. Survivors: Son, Robert and wife Audrey of Catasauqua; daughter, Shirley wife of Louis Keppel of Coopersburg; four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
