Norman J. Simon, age 89, of Macungie, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Complete Care at Lehigh Center. He was born September 24, 1933 in Allentown, the son of the late Edward and Jennie (Kuder) Simon.

Norman graduated in the Class of 1950 from Coopersburg High School. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean War and served three years. He started work for Bethlehem Steel, and continued to work for Culligan and then Moore Business Forms for many years. Norman was an avid bowler and played in many leagues. He also loved playing sports including basketball, golf, and softball. He enjoyed small game hunting with his children growing up. He was a faithful lifelong member at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Coopersburg. He was also a member of American Legion Post 242 in Quakertown.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Christine (Hess) Simon of Macungie; two sons, Jeffrey Simon of Alburtis and Barry (Kim) Simon of GA; two grandchildren, A.J. and Bristol; two sisters, Helen Mohl and Marie Mondschein; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Lillian Erdman; three brother-in-laws, Jim Mohl, John Mondschein, and Stanley Erdman; and grandson, Stephen.

Professional Services are entrusted to Norcross-Weber Funeral Home, Inc. in Coopersburg. A Public Viewing will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. until the time of Funeral Services at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Autism Society at autismsociety.org.
