Norma V. Murphy, of Coopersburg, passed away on August 16th at the age of 86. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa to the late: Harold J. and Rosemarie Vollmer and was predeceased by her husband C. Jay Murphy. Norma received her undergraduate degree from Penn State University and her Master's from Lehigh University and went on to teach special education for the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit for 25 years. She is survived by her children: Casey and wife Sandy Murphy, Colleen M. Consalvo, Leslie and husband Andrew Harris, Christopher and wife Susan Murphy and 9 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5050 St. Josephs Road, Coopersburg, Pa on Wednesday August 22nd at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, please give to the American Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Valley Chapter.
