Obituary

Nettie M. Drayton, 74, entered eternal rest peacefully on August 17, 2018. Nettie was the daughter of the late James and Arlie Mae (McMillian) Stringer. Nettie was predeceased by two older brothers; Willie James Stringer and Dr. Rev. Louis C. McMillian. She leaves behind six children: Toi (John) Moll, Christine Schneider, Yvette Castro, Gerald Drayton Jr., Guy Drayton, and James Drayton; 29 Grand Children; 28 Great Grand Children; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Nettie was an employee of the Department of Public Welfare for 25 1/2 years. Nettie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of fifteen. She was an Usher and Deaconess at Union Baptist Church in Allentown, PA where she served faithfully before moving to Myrtle Beach, SC. There she united with Salem Missionary Baptist Church and served on the Pulpit-Aide Committee and as Assistant Church Clerk.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Nettie's life on Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Union Baptist Church located at 302 N. 6th Street, Allentown, PA 18102. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation services from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.; Funeral Services will commence at 11:00 A.M. precisely with interment to follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park located at 1700 Airport Road, Allentown, PA 18109.

Funeral arrangements are under the careful direction of Weber Funeral Homes, P.C. located at 502 Ridge Avenue, Allentown, PA 18102.
