Nelly Garcia Reyes, 88, of Trexlertown, passed away May 19, 2018. Born in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Alvares Garcia and Santos Peralta Reyes. Nelly was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 25 years, Luis Vega Padro.

Nelly is remembered as being very religious, she was an active volunteer at the church, especially when it came to educating and reading to the children.

SURVIVORS:  Nelly is survived by her children: Alberto Garcia, July Vega Garcia, and Cenia J. Ubaldo Garcia; her sister, Dolores Reyes Garcia, and many granddaughters, grandsons, and other family members.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nelly was preceded in death by her brother, Aponialar Alvares Reyes Garcia.

Services will be held at a later date in Puerto Rico.
