Neil N. Smith passed away on June 30th, 2026, at the age of 86 at Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehab, Allentown, where he resided the last few years. He was the beloved son of Gloria L. Smith, born in Allentown on March 5th, 1940. At various periods of his life, he lived in Altadena and San Francisco, CA. He was also a resident for many years at Catasauqua Towers. He was artistically gifted and was employed at one time by Rileigh’s Inc. of Allentown. He also worked for General Electric and retired from Pet Foods-General Mills. He loved to travel and spent many vacations in Oregon and California with relatives, and visited other areas of the US. He entered the US Army in 1962, served at various bases in the US, and was honorably discharged in 1965 as SP4 at Fort Benning, GA. His many many friends remember him as the most polite, complementary, caring, and fun person, as well as the best dressed. He was a friend to all he met. He supported many volunteer and worthwhile organizations both local and nationwide. Donations in his memory can be made to Cedarbrook or any organization you choose.
