Mildred (Svoboda) Reiss, 85, of Coopersburg passed away Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010 in her home. Born in Coopersburg on July 5, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Michael and Rose (Mlejnek) Svoboda Sr. Mildred was a loving mother to 9 children, 8 grandchildren, and 1 great -grandchild. Mildred enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Mildred successfully managed Reiss Bros. Hauling for the past 38 yrs. Survivors: Seven sons; Roger E. of Tioga County, Wayne L of Coopersburg, Edward W. Jr. of Coopersburg, Dennis G. of Coopersburg, Ronald D. of Center Valley, Randolph D. and wife Sherry of Coopersburg, Timothy P. of Kutztown; two daughters; Rosalie D. Cory, wife of John C. Cory Jr. of Quakertown, and Darlene B. Reiss of Coopersburg; eight grandchildren, Jason Cory of Mississippi, Jennifer Catanzaro-Fisher of Coopersburg, Michael Reiss of Center Valley, Cody Reiss of Coopersburg, Amy Reiss of Kutztown, David Reiss of Kutztown, Lydia Reiss of Kutztown and Steven Reiss of Kutztown, Great granddaughter, Jasmine Catanzaro; sister, Lillian Svoboda of Coopersburg. Services: A visitation will be held on Fri. Sept. 17 from 9:30-11am, followed by a service at 11am, all at Norcross-Weber Funeral Home, 101B Main St. Coopersburg.
